Singer Zubeen Garg Sent To Jail!

Popular singer-actor Zubeen Garg from Assam has been sentenced to three months rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000 in an assault case on Friday. The 'Gangster' fame is also considered as the heart-throb of the younger generation and is often in news for his unusual acts. The singer-turned-actor had allegedly slapped a minor for smoking in public.

Speaking about the same Zubeen’s advocate Junmoni Devi revealed, “This case was filed under three IPC sections- 323, 341 and 506. He has been proved not guilty under section 341; he has been sentenced to three months jail and penalty of 5000 rupees under sections 323 and 506. We have accepted the judgment with respect and have planned to appeal before the Higher Court, which is Sessions Judge Court”.

Moreover, Zubeen was seen in an interview saying that it was a minor matter, however, the minor’s father Arup Borbora was satisfied with the verdict. On the work front, the singer was recently seen in his latest Assamese movie ‘Mission China’, as the lead character. The film created a lot of buzzes among the audience.
