Singh Saab The Great: 1st trailer shows Sunny Deol in angry, energetic avatar

It was 2001 when in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha Sunny Deol appeared in a ferocious and aggressive avatar and was quite capable of wiping out 1000 scoundrels on his own. Now in 2013 Sunny is back in an identical form in Gadar director Anil Sharma’s forthcoming film Singh Saab The Great.

The title itself is quite indicative about the storyline of the film. Sunny Deol has been one of the most prominent action heroes in Bollywood who amuse fans with powerful stunts and filmy action sequences. In the trailer of Singh Saab The Great, a bullet keeps moving on a dusty road only to be stopped when the hero, Sunny, gets down. Wearing a yellow turban Sunny appears with swords in both of his hands and he begins giving out a speech. In his speech he refers to Guru Gobind Singh to encourage people to stand up against injustice and wrongdoers.

Then the action begins for which his ‘Dhai Kilo Ka Haath’ is sufficient as he unroots a banyan tree root and hits the miscreants all around. The trailer echoes every word Sunny speaks to emphasise his character. At the end only the frightened eyes of the villain are shown which could be either of Prakash Raj or of Ravi Kishan, who are also acting in this movie. But as Prakash is one of the most favourite Bollywood villains these days it’s highly speculated that he is the only one in this film too. The movie has Amrita Rao too and as told by the actress during the launch of the trailer, she is playing the role of a journalist in the movie. She also added that as her character required perfect eastern UP accent she had to do a lot of hard work in several workshops to learn the same. Anand Raj Anand, the music composer of the film, was also present at the trailer launch event. Sonu Nigam has sung the title track of the movie. Singh Saab The Great, to hit the cinemas on November 22, will be distributed by Eros International.
