    Sonakshi Sinha Acquires Journalist Avatar For Noor

    Noticing a shift in the kind of roles Sonakshi Sinha is playing, it seems like 2016 is a strenuous year for the Dabangg actress. The popular young Bollywood star is set to stun her fans with her action-packed roles in upcoming movies, Force 2 and Akira. Not just that, the Tevar star is also gearing up to attain a nose for news for ad filmmaker Sunhil Sippy’s forthcoming flick, Noor.

    Based on Pakistani journalist-writer Saba Imtiaz's 2014 novel, Karachi, You're Killing Me, the movie will be shot in one schedule and is expected to release in 2017. According to reports, the Rowdy Rathore star will essay the role of a Karachi-based journalist in the film. The Lootera actress has been seen sporting a cool and trendy look in her earlier flicks.

    A source informed, "While the book - a coming-of-age story of a journalist named Ayesha Khan -- is set in Karachi, Noor will be based in Mumbai and has the eponymous Noor Roy Chaudhary, a 20-something journalist, at its centre. It's a beautiful story that follows Noor as she navigates relationships, career, aspirations, life choices, infatuations and body image issues. Every girl will relate to her”.

    Saba’s novel is a comedy crime-thriller that revolves around the life of a young protagonist, Ayesha. It depicts several events of violence and disturbance that happen in Karachi due to poor security measures. Reportedly, the author will significantly contribute to the screenplay of the movie.

    The flick will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and Vikram Malhotra.
