Sonakshi Sinha, John Abraham roped in for Welcome 2

Filmmaker Anees Bazmee is all set to amuse the audience with his upcoming film Welcome 2, a sequel of 2007 blockbuster Welcome. This flick must be full of humour as its prequel but the actors in the movie need not be the same. Yes, this time when you turn to the theatres, do make up your mind that you will no longer be seeing Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Mallika Sherawat.

According to the sources, Sonakshi Sinha has replaced Katrina Kaif in the Welcome sequel. Actor John Abraham’s wish to work with Sonakshi has come true as the 40-year-old will be playing the lead opposite Sonakshi. Akshay has been turned out of this project; the tight shooting schedules for the 7 pre-signed films may be the reason. The producer commented on Rowdy actor’s absence, "It is difficult to envisage Welcome 2 without Akshay, but he is definitely not doing it."

The Khatta Meetha item girl Kainaat Arora will also be seen in this flick, as she has been replaced by the bold and beautiful Mallika Sherawat. Other than these, Canadian porn star turned actress Sunny Leone is also hired for this project.Firoz Nadiadwala will be producing this comedy feature film. The director has certainly chosen good actors that will work out and will hit right with the audience. No other developments about the film are made public yet. The film is expected to go on floors byJune.
