Sonakshi Sinha to emulate Madhubala-Waheeda Rehman-Suchitra Sen in Lootera

Finally, a challenging and difficult role has come in the way of Sonakshi Sinha who got a Filmfare Award for Best Debut inDabangg. For her upcoming releaseLootera, opposite Ranveer Singh, she has taken tips from some golden names of yesteryears like Madhubala and Waheeda Rehman to give her best performance till date. The actress said, "This role has been the most difficult till now. It was quite challenging. I would do both kind of roles - like 'Rowdy Rathore', 'Dabangg' - and 'Lootera' as well.”

Sonakshi also talked about her biggest inspiration from the old days, "I would think of Madhubalaji, Waheeda Rehmanji, Suchitra Sen. I am quite excited about this film. I am really looking forward to it." Sonakshi has tried something new for the Vikramaditya Motwane film as she will be playing a role of 1950s’ Bengal. This is the first time Sonakshi’s fans will see her with a young-generation star Ranveer, as she has so far worked with superstars like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar.

Sonakshi said about her co-star Ranveer, "It was good working with him (Ranveer). He is a good person and a good co-star. He entertained us on the sets. He does a lot of masti (fun).” There are several other big titles in Sonakshi’s kitty which are slated for release in the coming days like Milan Luthria'sOnce Upon A time In Mumbai 2, Tigmanshu Dhulia'sBullet Rajaand Prabhudeva's film opposite Shahid Kapoor.
