Sonakshi Sinha turns singer for the first time

Dabangg cop’s onscreen wife Sonakshi Sinha has opened a new chapter in her life with Hollywood film Rio 2. Along with dubbing she has also sung a few lines for the family entertainer which will release in India this April.

Sonakshi is the voice of Jewel the macaw in the Hindi version of Rio 2 while Imran Khan has voiced Blu. Sonakshi has sung for a captivating party sequence in the film and she has also enjoyed her dubbing experience thoroughly. The Lootera actress said in a statement, "I enjoyed dubbing for Rio 2 because firstly, it's such a fun film, and secondly, because I felt like Imran (Khan) and I were perfect for the characters of Jewel and Blu.”
She added further, "There's a scene where Jewel is dancing and singing, so they made me sing a few lines as well. It was such a new experience! I would have even loved to sing more but unfortunately I am only just a bathroom singer.” The English version of the movie has voices of Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg. Set in the Brazilian city of Rio De Janeiro Rio 2 is an adventure comedy which will have its Indian release in 3D in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
