Sonakshi Will Not Perform With Justin Bieber

Everyone is eagerly waiting for Justin Bieber who is all set to perform in India on May 10. Ever since announcement of him coming to the country has been made there have been a lot of speculations about which Indian celebrity will perform with him. Recently, it was reported that actress Sonakshi Sinha would be performing the opening acts at the gig.

However, this did not go well with Kailash Kher and Armaan Malik. Kailash Kher posted that every artist should stick to their line of work. Kher even said that if Sonakshi performs at the concert, people in other parts of the world will wrongly assume that she is a singer. This also led to debate between Armaan Malik and Sonakshi where the singer said that the time has come when singers should be given the same importance as actors and not neglected. He was supported by his elder brother Amaal Malik, a music composer, who said that just like actors, singers too should be given an opportunity.

It seems like Sonakshi could not handle all this rigmarole and released an official statement claiming that she is not performing at DY Patil Stadium when the pop sensation arrives in the country. "Just chill, chill... Just chill. I am not performing at the Bieber concert. It was speculated as I was approached and it was carried in publications and portals even after I stated in various interviews that it's not happening,” said the 29-year-old actress.

She further wrote, “I am an actor who loves music, who loves to perform and sing. And if anyone has a problem with that, in the wise words of Baba Bieber himself... they can go 'Love Themselves' (inspired by Justin's track Love Yourself). Over and out."
