Sonam Kapoor Comes Out In Support Of Brother Harshvardhan Regarding The Filmfare Debut Award Controversy!

As a typical sister, Sonam Kapoor stood in support of her brother Harshvardhan. The actor got surrounded by arguments when he spoke up about “illogical” verdicts of organisers of award ceremonies. Apparently, he was hurt that he could not bag the Best Debutant Award 2016 for ‘Mirzya’.

Instead, actor Diljit Dosanjh won that award, which somewhere seemed ‘illogical’ to the 26-year-old actor. In Harshvardhan’s defence, Sonam said, “He’s not that kind of a person. Harsh is the sweetest, gentlest, kindest soul I’ve met. And to troll him just because he made a point about the debutant’s award, is just too unfair. He was speaking out of conviction. And according to me, he was not speaking out of line.”

She further added, “Just because it didn’t do well, doesn’t mean all the hard work that has gone into it is ified. Even my debut film, Saawariya, didn’t work at the box office. But I’m very proud of it. And I’m proud of what my brother did in Mirzya.”

Well, it was great to see that Sonam took a stand for Harshvardhan who will be seen next in ‘Bhavesh Joshi’.
