Sonam Kapoor starrer Neerja is roaring at the box office currently. After the second week box office run, the collection of Ram Madhvani’s directorial stands at Rs. 43.47 crores. After Gujarat and Maharashtra, the film has been announced tax free in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh recently.

Meanwhile this week’s releases failed to attract the audiences. Manish Paul starrer ‘Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive’ and Manoj Bajpai starrer ‘Aligarh’ saw a poor start. ‘Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive’, which is a sequel to ‘Tere Bin Laden’, collected about Rs. 50 lakhs on the opening day.

On the other side, Hansal Mehta’s directorial ‘Aligarh’ also suffered at the box office. The film which also starred Rajkummar Rao received rave reviews from the critics which apparently couldn’t translate into good box office numbers. ‘Aligarh’ is based on the real life story of an Aligarh Muslim University's professor, Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras, who was sacked from his job after being caught in a homosexual encounter with a rickshaw-puller.
