Here's What Sridevi Has To Say About Rejecting Blockbuster Baahubali For Flop ‘Puli’!

After the release of SS Rajamouli’s record breaker ‘Baahubali’, some expressed their desire of working with the director, while others wished of working with the film’s main character Prabhas. Each and every character was appreciated for their impeccable performance in the movie. Not only Prabhas, but, Ramya Krishnan who essayed the role of Sivagami was appreciated too.

But do you know that Ramya was not the first choice for the role? The director first offered the role to Sridevi who rejected the iconic role and instead agreed to act in 'Puli', which tanked at the box office. Sridevi’s refusal to the offer led many people wonder as to what made her choose ‘Phuli’ over ‘Baahubali’.

Even media raised questions on the actress about her reason of rejecting the offer. However, after avoiding questions and maintaining silence for a considerable amount of time, the Hawa Hawaii actress has finally spoken about the same. At the trailer launch of her forthcoming flick ‘Mom’, the actress was asked about the reason to which she replied, "Another actor played that role and both versions of the films were released and became a hit. Now, what's the point in talking about it?"
