SRK replaces Ben Affleck as Batman?

The production house behind the upcoming Batman movies starring Ben Affleck, has reportedly replaced Affleck with Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan, who has signed a three deal contract and will replace Batman as the caped crusader.

“SRK will be replacing Ben as the Batman. It took quite some time to close the deal, but he has (SRK) has signed a three-film contract. It is going to be interesting how the rest of the world reacts to this casting. India is surely going to celebrate this,” says a source.

Affleck had stepped down as the director of the Batman films, and there were reports that he is also planning to pull out of the project as the actor as well. According to the source, the makers got the idea after actor Hugh Jackson said that Shah Rukh Khan will be the perfect choice to carry forward the legacy of Wolverine.

The source says, “They got the idea after Hugh said that SRK could play Wolverine. Indian actors are in demand right now. Following the success of actors such as Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, they thought it will be a refreshing take to cast someone of a different ethnicity as Batman.”

The source also revealed that public opinion on Affleck as the billionaire vigilante forced the Oscar winning actor to completely withdraw from the project. “He (Ben Affleck) knew people weren’t happy with him as the Batman. So he decided to step away from the franchise.”

Happy April Fool’s Day, folks! King Khan’s fans will have to wait . While there are rumours that Affleck may not play Batman, he has not been replaced by Shah Rukh Khan yet.
