SRK’s ‘Fan’ gets Arjun Kapoor’s film scrapped

Now that’s what King Khan can do to you!! The flying reports have confirmed that director Milan Luthria has completely scrapped his next film which was to feature Arjun Kapoor in the lead. The film’s script was apparently on similar lines of Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Fan’ which has already gone on floors. While the makers obviously didn’t want to take any chances, the film has now been shelved.

Milan Luthria, who last directed the not so successful ‘Once Upon ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara!’, had sealed the script and Arjun had already given him the dates. The story that shows a desperate fan trying to meet his hero is the plot both films were being brought on. Confirming the report, Milan said "We worked on the script for about two months and were supposed to roll in February 2015 in Mauritius. I was travelling when someone from my office informed me that our script was similar to that of an upcoming film. Fortunately, I have another script, which is fast being developed. I will now start a different film in a couple of months."

Milan who also directed the Vidya Balan starrer blockbuster ‘The Dirty Picture’ was earlier in news for reportedly bringing the Bachchans together for a project, however nothing could get confirmed. Talking about it, he added "There has been too many speculations in the media about my next film, all surrounding people close to me, the Bachchans to name just one. It's nice to know that there is so much interest in what I'm doing, but it also adds to the pressure.I want to complete my writing in peace and will announce all the details soon."
