Suchitra Sen now stable

Veteran actress Suchitra Sen’s condition was critical till yesterday when she was admitted to a super specialty Belle Vue Clinic. The 82-year-old actress complained of respiratory infections but today, the attending doctors have informed that Suchitra is stable now. A medical bulletin announces, "Her breathlessness and palpitation have settled. Her vital parameters are satisfactory, she had her breakfast and remains comfortable."

Suchitra is monitored by five-member-committee specialised doctors. She was moved to Coronary Care Unit (CCU) as her health was said to be declining. The award-winning actress began her career in 1952 with Shesh Kothay and contributed in numerous flicks. Her last film was Pranoy Pasha in 1978. She worked in Bengali films mainly and entered Bollywood with Devdas, where she played Paro. She married Dibanath Sen and she is a mother to her daughter Moon Moon Sen.
