Sultan VS Dangal Location Clash: Sultan’s Shoot Halted

Sultan VS Dangal Location Clash: Sultan’s Shoot Halted

First, it was clash of roles, as Salman Khan and Aamir Khan were both playing wrestlers in their respective upcoming films Sultan and Dangal and now they, apparently, wanted to shoot for the two films at the same location. Grapevine is abuzz with rumours that Salman starrer Sultan was supposed to be shot in the rural areas of Ludhiana but the shoot was cancelled as the PK actor was already shooting at the same location for Dangal. After clash of roles, the locations have also reportedly clashed.

But the conflict hasn’t seemingly affected the Khan duo. It is said that Aamir, who is shooting in Gujjarwal village, has booked a complete floor in high-end hotel of the city for Salman Khan, who will now be shooting there by the end of November, reportedly. Sultan is based on a real life story of Haryana-based wrestler Sultan Ali Khan, whereas Dangal is based on the life story of Mahavir Singh Phogat.

A source from Yash Raj Films told Indian Express, “Now the entire shooting schedule has been shifted to Haryana, Mumbai and some areas near Delhi and Salman Khan would be staying in the capital only. The schedule for Punjab has been scrapped because locations were more or less getting similar to what Dangal team is using and since both movies are related wrestling, it was inappropriate to shoot for Sultan in Punjab especially Ludhiana villages. As of now, the Punjab schedule stands cancelled”.
