Sunny Leone to host South Asian Rising Star Film Award Gala Dinner in New York

Porn star Sunny Leone, who made her Bollywood debut withJism 2this year, has been roped in to host the first-ever South Asian Rising Star Film Award Gala Dinner in New York on October 23. She will co-host the award ceremony with Indian-American director Jay Chandrasekhar, who is known for his slapstick comedies likeBeerfest, Super TroopersandThe Dukes of Hazzard.

The initiative is part of the South Asian International Film Festival (SAIFF), which will be held from October 24 to 30. SAIFF, which celebrates its ninth year in 2012, has also announced the nominees for the opening edition of the awards. Anurag Kashyap’sGangs of Wasseypurhas the highest number of nominations – it leads the pack with six nods. Shoojit Sircar’sVicky Donorand Abhinay Deo’sDelhi Bellyhave four and three nominations respectively.
