Sushant Singh Rajput quits Abhishek Kapoor's next, Fitoor

Abhishek Kapoor's Kai Po Che! marked the Bollywood debut for actor Sushant Singh Rajput and the director’s next project, Fitoor, was also supposed to feature the actor opposite Katrina Kaif. But the deal has become a history now as Sushant will no more feature in Fitoor due to his date problems.

According to a source, "Sushant wanted to do Shekar Kapur'sPaanias well as Abhishek'sFitoor. Sushant requested Abhishek to postpone the date of his filmFitoorand has perhaps disappointed him. So now Sushant is no more part ofFitoorand Abhishek is hunting for the leading actor for his film.” Fitoor is reportedly a big screen adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel Great Expectations.

The makers of Fitoor have finalised their deal with Katrina as the leading lady in the film, to be produced by Ekta Kapoor. Sushant's spokesperson issued a statement confirming the news, "Sushant will not be doing Fitoor. The film, for which he had allotted dates this year and kept himself free, has shifted from its original October 2013 schedule to March 2014 and now to July 2014. It now clashes with his dates allotted for Paani due to which he had to let it go. He hopes to collaborate with Abhishek on some project in the future.”
