Tanuj Virwani on ‘Purani Jeans’: Friendship is like old jeans; the older, the better

A forthcoming flick by director Tanushri Chattrji Bassu, embraces in itself a simple but clear message on friendship. The movie starring Tanuj Virwani, Aditya Seal and Izabelle Leite in the lead, illustrates the perplexities of teenagers on relationships. Tanuj said “The film is about five guys from a small town in Himachal Pradesh. The story is about friendship and relationships. Its about a very important phase of your life when you are growing up and when you are out of school and going to college and all.”

The film as a whole is a metaphor and that’s, “Friendship is like a pair of old jeans, the older it gets, the better it becomes. That comfort level which one shares with old friends cannot be
matched.” The flick has Tanuj’s real mother Rati Agnihotri essaying the role of his mother in the film. Although, she has very little to do in it. The music of the flick is composed by Ram Sampath of Delhi Belly and Talaash fame.
The project produced by Manju Lulla is made under Eros International studio. The venture is scheduled for May1 release.
