Having assisted directors like Glen Barretto for ‘Aao Wish Karein’ and Ken Ghosh for ‘Chance Pe Dance’, Tanuj Virwani has stated that acting was not his first choice. Being the son of veteran actress Rati Agnihotri, Tanuj feels that he eventually would have stepped in front of the camera. “Acting was not a first choice, I have been an AD before but I guess with a stalwart as my mother… an apple never falls far from a tree”, Tanuj stated.

Talking about acting, the Luv U Soniyo actor revealed, “Experience as an AD was indeed very helpful. Being there on the other side helps as you then know which angle, what light, works for us an an actor”. He also spoke about working with his mother and shared, “We have worked in ‘Purani Jeans’ together, although it was a cameo. We would love to work in a film together but not because we want to be together but because the script needs us… it has to be organic not forced”.

Tanuj can be seen in theatres in ‘One Night Stand’ alongside Sunny Leone which just hit the screens. It focuses on the issue of stalking and one night stands. The movie has been directed by Jasmine D'Souza.
