    Great news for the fans of the 1980 movie The Shining, Warner Bros will be creating a sequel of the critically acclaimed psychological horror movie. The sequel of the movie will be titled as ‘Doctor Sleep’.



    According to news published on deadline.com, the storyline of the upcoming sequel movie will bring back the child character of Danny Torence, who is now in his 40s and is depicted as fighting with the same demons of anger and alcoholism like his father Jack Torence did in the 1980 movie. ‘Doctor Sleep’ will be helmed by Mike Flanagan. The script of the movie will be originally rewritten by Flanagan.



    The storyline will also depict Danny becoming exactly like his rampageous father and thus bearing the ‘Shining’ powers. Using his powers, Danny will be seen forming a psychic connection with a young girl, who becomes a prey by a frightening group which also has the same abilities. ‘Doctor Sleep’ will be bankrolled by Kevin McCormick under the banner of Warner Bros.
