These Are Alia Bhatt’s Plans For 2017

Alia Bhatt made distinct standing in 2016 with flicks like ‘Kapoor & Sons’, ‘Udta Punjab’ and ‘Dear Zindagi’. In fact, her cameo in Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ was also lauded by her fans. With the arrival of New Year, everyone has some fresh plans, and so does Alia.

In a conversation with a leading daily, the 23-year-old actress spoke about her films and other projects coming her way this year. She revealed, “I had three releases in 2016, and this year, I will hopefully have one more release apart from BKD. Nothing is confirmed yet, but it seems BKD will be my only film in 2017 as of now. It’s a very different and biggish film. What I mean by ‘biggish’ is that it’s a very mainstream film, which I haven’t done for a while now. So I am really looking forward to that.”

The young lady further added, “Generally speaking, if you don’t have a film release, then one can be under the radar. But besides movies, I have a lot of other plans for 2017 that are not film-related. For instance, I am going to be very active when it comes to social work. I am already working on a campaign for animals."

‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, referred as BKD by Alia in her chat, is an upcoming romantic comedy entertainer starring Varun Dhawan and Gauhar Khan. The flick is directed by Shashank Khaitan and Karan Johar is funding the movie under the Dharma Productions banner. The makers are planning to release the film on March 10, 2017.
