    We do know that nepotism exists in Bollywood with kids and relatives of celebrities having higher chances of making it big in B-town. However, little did we expect that someone might face racism in the Hindi film industry. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is applauded for his brilliant acting skills and choosing his films, has stated that he has faced racism in the industry.

    “Thank you for making me realise that I cannot be paired with the fair and handsome because I am dark and not good looking, but I never focus on that,” the actor tweeted. During his interview with the Indian Express, the Gangs of Wasseypur actor said, “Someone told me something. I don’t wanna take his name. At that point of time I had a thought so I shared it."

    When asked about names of people who have racially discriminated him, the actor refused to divulge. The actor said that he has been hearing about racism from his hometown. “I have always been hearing stuff like why are you going to Bollywood. Shakal dekhlo. Your not a fair and handsome boy. This is something I faced ever since I aspired to become an actor,” said Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

    Nawaz who will be next seen in Munna Michael along with Tiger Shroff is on a promotional spree for the film. Recently, during promotions of the film, the actor said, during his initial years, people used to look at him from top to toe whenever he went to filmmakers’ office. He received criticisms about his looks. He was looked down for his looks. He added, “They used to tell me I’m not a hero material. My question is what is a hero material. Honestly, It’s been 12 years and still I don’t know what do you mean by the term hero material?”

    Apart from Munna Michael, Nawaz has Babumoshai Bandookbaaz and Manto in his kitty.
