This Celebrity To Get A Wax Figure At Madame Tussauds

Legendary singer Asha Bhosle has a reason to be on cloud nine. The singing sensation is the latest to join the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan and many notable actors at Madame Tussauds. The news was announced by Madame Tussauds New Delhi today. Works on creating her wax figure at the famed attraction are on.

An elated Bhonsle said, “I am thrilled and humbled. Thank you to Madame Tussauds and my fans for considering me for this incredible honour. Having a wax figure is a completely ecstatic feeling and it’s a new experience for me. This is the first time I have undergone a sitting and I must thank them for making it a unique and exciting experience. I am excited to see and meet my final figure when the attraction opens. Madame Tussauds is a ‘one-of-a-kind’ attraction and is a rage across the world and I am looking forward to the launch and opening in Delhi”.

Her measurements for the statue have been taken from the experts. The singer has been singing for over six decades and has sung in 20 Indian and foreign languages. Among other prestigious awards, Asha Bhonsle has also been awarded the prestigious honour by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most recorded artist in music history.
