This Is What Alia Bhatt Has To Say On Losing Out On The National Award!

This Is What Alia Bhatt Has To Say On Losing Out On The National Award!

We can’t deny the fact that the year 2016 was a fabulous one for our very talented actress Alia Bhatt. She delivered three hit flicks in the year, including one of her career’s best performances, Udta Punjab. However, at the recent National Film Awards, the actress neither Alia was honoured with a special mention nor any of her movies won any award. Although, Sonam Kapoor was credited with a special mention for her performance in Neerja at the NFA.

At a recent event, the Udta Punjab actress bared her heart about not getting the National award. She said, "When the film released, it got that appreciation and recognition from the people. It's not that National awards are not prestigious, but it doesn't take away the fact whatever the film has achieved. We did not make a film for that purpose, so it's ok. An award is given when your efforts are rewarded. So, the people who have won, have put in more efforts and have been rewarded, so you shouldn't feel spiteful to somebody else's win. That's the wrong way of looking at it".

We guess it is her attitude that has made her one of the most sought after actresses in the Bollywood industry. On the work front, Alia is basking in the success of Badrinath Ki Dulhania and will be next seen in Gully Boys which will see her pair opposite Ranveer Singh. She will also be sharing screen space with stars Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan in Dragon.
