To make someone shake a leg, who doesn't dance is extremely tough: Harmeet Singh

Music composer Harmeet Singh of Meet Brothers duo feels that contrary to what people usually think, it’s not an easy task to make a dance number, since the struggle is to make even the non-party lovers dance.

“It’s very difficult to make a party song. Our concern is to hit the right track and specially in a country like ours, where not everyone likes to party or dance. To make someone shake a leg, who doesn’t dance is extremely tough and we always have to keep in mind what kind of beat can become a mass hit,” says Harmeet.

The composer and his brother Manmeet, who have given plenty of hit party numbers like Baby Doll, Pink Lips, Nachange Saari Raat and Mastizaade says he is far from getting typecast.

“As a director, if I’m making a film and the entry of a girl is on a good dance track, people will automatically think of it as a dance number. There are certain musicians who are known for making romantic tracks, so a director making such a film will go to them. And with the kind of hit party tracks that we have made, if a director needs it, he’ll automatically come to us,” Harmeet adds.

The duo now plans to focus on romantic genre and have a surprise for their fans. “We are also looking at some solo tracks and it will be a lovely surprise for our fans. Also, you will see us doing a lot of collaborations later this year,” he reveals.
