Too much sex can be a bad thing: Sunny Leone

Though this may sound odd from the mouth of a porn star, Indo-Canadian adult star Sunny Leone, who is debuting in Bollywood with filmmaker Pooja Bhatts Jism 2, has preached too much sex can be a bad thing in PETAs latest ad. In the caption of her brand-new ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, Leone has pressed for the sterilization of pet dogs and cats saying too much sex can be a bad thing. She said in an interview for PETA, "I believe in not buying - and adopting. And it's because there's so many dogs out there that need a home, that were left on the streets. They just need that love, and if you can rescue an animal, then that's one of the greatest gifts you can give." Sunny added, "I believe that every single dog should be spayed and neutered. You don't want to continue the cycle of homeless dogs or cats. And spaying and neutering also keeps them healthy. It prevents them from having different diseases that they can get if they are not." The actor whose Jism 2 is all set to hit the theatres next month, feels that the Indian audience is ready to see a porn star on silver screen. "I did not think that people will like me because of my background, like what I do for my living in America. I was not sure if this thing would be accepted. But I am very much happy with the welcome and response I have got here," Sunny was quoted as saying by PTI. She added, "What I found was so interesting that in India they did a complete separation like this is Sunny Leone from Bigg Boss and Jism 2 and this is Sunny Leone the girl from the US, they are two completely different people". She insisted, "I think they just took me in one movie. I think a whole new world has opened up, I think the young generation of people are ready to see someone like me on TV otherwise I would not be here, sitting like this."
