    No Pakistan Release For Tubelight?

While a film can be released in its home country even if it is clashing with another movie, however, releasing the movie in other country if a local film is releasing on the same date can create a problem for filmmakers. Now the recent movie which has itself a victim of this is none other Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’. ‘Tubelight’ will not release in Pakistan as none of the local distributors are willing to release the film there.

According to the President of the Indian Film Exporters Association, Hirachand Dand, local distributors in Pakistan are unwilling to acquire Salman’s movies as two big local movies, 'Yalghaar’ and 'Shor Sharaba’, are releasing at the same time. Since Salman is a popular actor in Pakistan, therefore the makers fear of his movie going ahead their films.

'Yalghaar’, which is believed to be one of Pakistan’s first ever international film, revolves around the sacrifices people and armed forces made against terrorism. The price of Salman’s film in Pakistan is said to be $5 lakh which has become a major issue.  Earlier, it was speculated that ‘Tubelight’ would release after two weeks in Pakistan, however, the possibility now seems to be low considering its high price.
