Supporting the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, Akshay Kumar is coming up with a flick on toilets. His upcoming film, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ revolves around a man who is fighting to get a toilet built in his house after his marriage. But before the movie takes to the theatres, Twinkle Khanna brought her issues with the toilet upfront.

Recalling her struggles with the washroom, Twinkle wrote in her weekly blog, “In the early years of marital negotiations I had briskly informed the man of the house, Darling, I will share my heart, my body, my life, and though it annoys me, I will even share my food with you, but I will never share my toilet”. She also added an incident where a girl defecated on her silk dress after being unable to stand in the long toilet queue during her hostel days, “That was the day that the seeds of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan were sown in my young heart. I gathered a few girls and made four picket signs with a red marker pen that stated: BMC — Build More Commodes! We protested outside the principal’s office and were promptly thrown into detention”.

Twinkle reportedly mentioned that she started the initiative of building toilets even before the Bharatiya Janata Party. As per the actress, her initiative of having more commodes built dates back to 1985.  She also cleared the air about the BMC controversy.
