Twinkle Khanna undergoes surgery, Akshay Kumar continues work

Bollywood actress Twinkle Khanna has undergone a surgery at Breach Candy Hospital after she complained of severe stomach ache which has been recurring since last few days. She has been operated upon without any delay as she was diagnosed with kidney stone leading to her stomach aches. While her husband actor Akshay Kumar was present by her side during her admission to the hospital, later he had to leave his wife to meet his work commitment. He was due to attend a fashion show at Mahalaxmi Race Course as he is an ambassador for the brand which was the title sponsor for the event.

On Saturday night Twinkle first got admitted to Hinduja hospital and from her bed she tweeted jokingly, “I had no idea I had kidney stones. And now I find they are bigger than any diamonds I own.” She also decided to write her column After Hrs from the bed but she was unable to do so as the pain worsened. When Akshay couldn’t find the doctor whom he wanted to treat his wife, he shifted her to Breach Candy Hospital. First the worried husband, Akshay, cancelled all his appointments and work schedules but later he changed his mind to fulfil his work commitments. But he never failed to visit his wife in intervals from his packed work schedule. The actress is under observation now and is due to be discharged in a couple of days.
