    UTV Stars launches Walk of Stars in tinsel town

    Mumbai Bollywood channel UTV Stars has introduced Walk of Stars on the lines of Hollywoods Walk of Fame to felicitate the legends of the Indian film industry. The Walk of Stars is a two kilometre stretch situated at the Bandra Bandstand boulevard in uptown Mumbai. The Kapoors, nicknamed the first family of Bollywood, were the first runners of the esteemed felicitation bestowed on them today. The Walk of Stars will have celebrities handprints on a customised slab. The brass statues will be of iconic legends that are still making headways in the film fraternity. The slabs of signatures will be dedicated to the legends who left for their heavenly abode. Actress Kareena Kapoor unveiled her grandfather Raj Kapoors statue today and said, "I am falling short of words. What more would I want than sitting beside my grandfather... Whatever I am today is all because of them. We Kapoors have acting in our veins and blood." Statues of Prithviraj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor have been set up.
