Varsha Bhosle cremated in Mumbai

Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle’s daughter Varsha, who committed suicide yesterday by shooting herself in the head, was cremated early morning today in South Mumbai. Sources say the last rites of Varsha were performed at Chandanwadi crematorium in Marine Lines.

The 56-year-old killed herself at her residence in Prabhu Kunj apartments on South Mumbai’s posh Peddar Road. Asha Bhosle, who was in Singapore at the time of her daughter’s death, reached here around 11 pm yesterday. Varsha was a divorcee and used to write columns in newspapers and magazines.
