Varun Dhawan Literally On Fire During Filmfare Performance!

The 62nd Filmfare Awards were held on January 14 and the event was co-hosted by Kapil Sharma, Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan. Like every year, there were several power packed performances but this time, Varun Dhawan, who was one of the performers, set the stage on fire, literally. According to a popular daily, his jacket caught fire after a small mishap!

“Varun's act started at 3 am. It was a highly energetic performance and his guitar suddenly burst mid- act”, stated the daily, adding, “Flames erupted and his jacket caught fire as well. A few sparks also flew in Rekhaji's direction. Though there was a fire extinguisher close by, Varun continued dancing so as to avoid disrupting the show. Luckily, it wasn't anything major”. The news was confirmed by Varun’s spokesperson as well.

Varun rocked the stage with energetic performances on his songs ‘Jee Karda’ and ‘Main Tera Hero’. Later in his act, he was joined by Alia Bhatt who will be co-starring with him in the upcoming film ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’. The duo grooved to the title track of their forthcoming film.

Some of the winners from the 62nd Filmfare Awards include Aamir Khan for Best Actor (male), Alia Bhatt for Best Actor (female), Dangal for Best Film and Nitesh Tiwari for Best Director (Dangal).
