Varun Dhawan To Star In ‘Aankhen 2’?

After an official announcement was made that actor Varun Dhawan will star in father David Dhawan’s ‘Judwaa’ sequel, now the trending news is that he may fill in the shoes of superstar Govinda in 'Aankhen 2' as well If speculations are to be believed, ‘Aankhen’, 1993-comedy film starring Govinda and Chunky Pandey in the lead roles will be turned into a sequel too. The latter flick was also directed by senior Dhawan during his heydays.

As per a close source, “Aankhen 2’ will take the story forward. The main characters Bunnu and Munnu will remain the same but the actors will change”. The flick will be produced by Pahlaj Nihalani, where the film will hit the floors around year-end.

Reportedly, the flick will also have Govinda and Pandey, who would be playing cameo roles. The dad-son pair will work again after making their first film together in ‘Main Tera Hero’, which was released in 2014. The star actor will also feature in Karan Malhotra’s directorial movie Shuddhi.
