Veere Di Wedding Pushed to June 1

The upcoming and highly anticipated Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Veeri Di Wedding’ will hit the screens on June 1. Initially, the project was supposed to release on May 18. Sonam took to Twitter to make the announcement and said, “You are all cordially invited to the wedding of the season! Save the date for ' Veere Di Wedding ' on June 1”.

This will be the first time Kareena and Sonam will be teaming up for a film. What makes this film even more interesting is that it is Kareena’s first film after her hiatus for giving birth to her and Saif’s first baby boy, Taimur. Sonam and Kareena will also be joined by Shikha Talsania and Swara Bhaskar. Shashank Ghosh has directed the film which has Ekta Kapoor on board as producer.

Ekta shared that the film would release on her nephew Lakkshya’s birthday. Lakkshya is the son of actor  Tusshar Kapoor and turns 1 year old on June 1. “June 1 is one big day! 'Veere Di Wedding' arrives on my Lakkshya's birthday! Ab shaadi aur birthday pe aap sab ko nimantran hai (You all are invited for the wedding and the birthday)” Ekta shared.

Rhea Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi are also co-producing the film which is being presented by Ekta's home banner Balaji Motion Pictures.
