Actress Vidya Balan has extended her hand to support the ‘Bas Ab Bahut Hogaya- Enough Is Enough’ campaign. The campaign works against gender biased norms and violence, especially the ones against women. It is led by Feroz Abbas Khan, Farhan Akhtar’s campaign MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination) and by Population Foundation of India (PFI).

Balan has recently shot an expressive video with her father for the campaign. The video is directed by Ashish Sawhny and will be released on Father’s Day, i.e. June 18. "This is a very special video, because it encapsulates the strength of my bond with my father. But there is a larger message too - of the value of the girl child. That discrimination between girls and boys has to stop", PTI quoted Vidya in a report.

The campaign offers an opportunity to the masses to unite for the cause. It has organized a filmmaking competition for college students and would reward the winners a prize money of Rs. 3lacs, Rs. 2lacs and Rs. 1lac to the winner, first runner-up, second runner-up, respectively.

Vidya has also promoted many other humanitarian causes in the past. In 2012, the actress even received an award, The Prabha Khaitan Puruskar, by Calcutta Chamber of Commerce for her attempts to empower women. Desimartini too honours Vidya Balan for her philanthropic work and wishes that she continues with the same.
