Vivegam director Siva shares new still of Thala Ajith sending fans into frenzy

Director Siva on Thursday released a new still of Thala Ajith from the sets of his next film Vivegam, and it was more than enough for the actor’s legions of fans to go gaga over their matinee idol. The still, which has already gone viral, features a severely fierce but battered Ajith, and it can be assumed that it could be from a high-octane action sequence.

With the film due for release on August 10, the makers have commenced the final leg of shooting in Bulgaria. “It will be a month-long schedule and all the lead actors will be part of this. The team has not finalized any date to release the first look teaser yet. The team will again come back to India and shoot some patchwork portions towards the end of April,” informs a source to HT.

According to trade sources, the film has extraordinary pre-release expectations with the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights pegged at a whopping Rs 50 crore, only next to Rajinikanth’s Kabali, which was sold for Rs 68 crores. Vivegam marks Ajith’s third collaboration with director Siva after Veeram and Vedalam. Tipped to be an international spy thriller, the film also stars Kajal Aggarwal as Ajith’s wife, Akshara Haasan as Ajith’s colleague and Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist.
