Vivegam’s music: A truly international album by Anirudh Ravichander

Young music sensation Anirudh Ravichander is a name to reckon with in Tamil filmdom. With hit albums such as Kaththi, Naanum Rowdydhaan and Remo among many more, his latest work in Vivegam is exceptional. While the makers created ample buzz by releasing three singles from the album over the last few weeks, the entire album of the Ajith starrer was released on Monday evening and it’s being raved as truly international and quite rightly so. The album features six songs and there’s the reprise version of the melody, Kadhalaada.

With Surviva, the rap number and Thala Viduthalai, the Eye of the Tiger kind of inspiration single, the album had already won over audiences.

Kadhalaada, the romantic melody, is aimed at the hardcore romantics and is sure to be a number centred on Ajith and Kajal Aggarwal, who play husband and wife in the film. Ajith plays an Interpol agent in the film and AK Theme could be an ode to his character. Never Give Up featuring voices of Anirudh and Raja Kumari is an interesting number and it breaks the monotony.

Directed by Siva, the film marks his third time collaboration after Veeram and Vedalam. The film also stars Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist and Akshara Haasan in a crucial role. Tipped to be made on a lavish budget of over Rs. 100 crore, the film has been predominantly shot across picturesque locations of Europe.
