Vivek Oberoi will once again essay the role of a gangster in Ram Gopal Varma’s upcoming gangster drama ‘Rai’. The actor will play former underworld don Muthappa Rai and is quite excited for it. “Gangster and real life characters always excites me as an actor”, Vivek shared.

“To portray a larger-than-life character like Muthappa Rai on the big screen will be a challenging task. I am working hard towards it”, the Masti actor added. ‘Rai’ will be shot in Dubai, India and London, among other locations, and will go on floors in June.

The 39-year-old actor is famous for his role in Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’ where he played gangster Maya Dolas. He also played gangster-turned-politician Pratap Ravi in RGV’s ‘Rakht Charitra’. In the 2002 film ‘Company’, Vivek essayed the role of a slumdog who goes on to become the most feared gangster in Mumbai. With quite a lot of experience in this genre, it would be interesting to see what the actor brings to the table.
