Vivek Oberoi Turns Chef To Prepare For His Upcoming Film

Vivek Oberoi is known to go the extra mile to make his characters look convincing. For his debut film, Company (2002), the actor reportedly lived in slums to prepare for his role. Currently, he is busy shooting for the third instalment of Masti (2004), in which Vivek will be seen cooking in some of the scenes. For the same, the actor took culinary lessons and tips from his wife, Priyanka Alva Oberoi.

A source close to Vivek says, “He plays a husband who can cook, and he didn’t want to fake any of the scenes. Since his wife always wanted him to learn cooking, this role presented him with the perfect opportunity. He asked Priyanka to teach him a few recipes. He also practised making those dishes for days to master his culinary skills.”

Apparently, Priyanka was so impressed with Vivek’s cooking that she actually turned up on the sets to encourage him. “She came to see how others reacted to the dishes made by him,” the source adds.

When contacted, Vivek confirmed the story, saying, “I wish I was as skilled as my wife when it comes to whipping up delicious food. I recently attempted to do what she does with so much ease, and it was a lot of fun. Priyanka was amused to see me search for recipes, and try them under her watchful eye. I think I managed to do a fair job.”
