Actor Sushant Singh Rajput and director Dibakar Banerjee are all set to launch a fashion line, which is inspired by the era in which film Detective Byomkesh Bakshy is set in – 1943. Dibakar Banerjee's Detective Byomkesh Bakshy is set in the 1943 of Calcutta. The film has Sushant Singh Rajput playing the title character. Now, the team came up with an idea of creating a fashion line which was a fusion of glamorous and modern styling.

The fashion line is called 'NOIR 43'. Dibakar shares, "The 40s in calcutta were a time of change. Politics, war, crime and the Iindependence struggle were central to the city. And even in terms of fashion there was a lot happening. On the streets, there were Bengalis, the English, the Americans, the Chinese, the Aarmenians, the Afghans and many. Out of this came the unique Calcutta or Kolkata attire - dhotis teamed up with jackets. Then, there were overcoats, army uniforms... NOIR 43 takes its inspiration from this exciting and slightly dangerous world and brings back the glamour of 43."
