WHOA! Hindi Medium Made Tax-Free In Maharashtra

Irrfan Khan’s latest release Hindi Medium has been made tax free by the government of Maharashtra. The move to exempt the film from tax has made the entire team happy. The movie starred Pakistani actress Saba Qamar opposite Irrfan.

“I would like to thank Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for announcing our film Hindi Medium as tax-free in the state. The film has already got a tax exemption in Gujarat. We are very glad to share the news,” producer Bhushan Kumar said during the screening of the film.

Irrfan Khan who was also present at the screening called this as a great step which will lead more people to watch the movie. He hopes that the movie is made tax-free in other states also. Hindi Medium revolves around the plot from rags to riches in which Saba Qamar plays Irrfan Khan’s (Raj) wife (Meeta). Meeta’s only wish is to come in the likes of elite class and insists her husband to shift from Old Delhi to Vasant Vihar. She believes that moving to this South Delhi posh area will let her attain that. She is determined to send her daughter to a good English Medium school.

The movie directed by Saket Chaudhary released today and has received good reviews.
