Here's Why Emraan Hashmi Refused To Use a Body Double For Dangerous Stunts In Baadshaho!

After working together in successful films such as Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (2010) and The Dirty Picture (2011), Emraan Hashmi and film-maker Milan Luthria are back once again with an action-thriller, Baadshaho. According to sources, the actor is excited about this film, as, for the first time in his career, he will be seen performing his action sequences himself.

A source says, “Emraan is in great physical shape and wanted to perform the action sequences himself without using a body double. The makers have hired a popular action director from Germany and have an international crew in place, but the actor insisted on doing his own stunts. Emraan will be seen jumping from rooftops, doing stunts in moving vehicles and even some hand-to-hand combat sequences. He had to rehearse a lot as these sequences were all shot at locations and huge crowds would gather to watch the shooting. It had to be choreographed perfectly. The cast would do a recce of the complete shot a day before the shoot just to make sure that all security measures were in place.”

The source says Emraan is also happy he is teaming up with his co-star from Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Ajay Devgn, again. “The two share great chemistry. He got great feedback for his first look [in the film] that was released a couple of days back. Also, Milan has been lucky for Emraan, as all their films have worked at the box office,” the source says.
