Why Farah wished 'Happy Diwali' on Jan 1?

On January 1, when Farah Khan wished every body a happy Diwali on microblogging site Twitter, many were left wondering as to what reminded Farah of the festival of lights at the turn of the year! "HAPPY DIWALI!! We did New Years on Oct 24 th!!" posted the 49-year-old choreographer-turned-filmmaker known for making blockbusters including Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om.

Was it a faux pass, a spam, was her Twitter account hacked or was she simply excited seeing the New Year fireworks? Well, we decided to ask the filmmaker herself and guess what she said! "My film Happy New Year released on Diwali in October so in a way on Diwali I had already wished everybody Happy New Year, so now that it's actually New Year, I thought why not wish everyone Happy Diwali instead!" explained Farah laughing. Now that explains it all, and we love you Farah for your sense of humour. Keep the jokes coming in and keep entertaining us with more blockbusters from your kitty!
