Not Neha Bajpayee But This Bollywood Actress Will Play Manyata Dutt In Sanjay Dutt’s Biopic!

Every update related to Sanjay Dutt’s biopic is creating headlines these days. Although it has been known from long time back that Ranbir Kapoor has been assigned to play Sanjay on-screen, no confirmation was made as to who will play Sanjay’s beloved wife Manayata on the big screen. Well, this has also been sorted lately.

As per the latest updates, Dia Mirza has been roped in to play Sanjay’s wife Manyata in his biopic. The co-producer of the film, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, has confirmed this news. "Dia Mirza is doing the role of Maanayata," Chopra told IANS at the ongoing Jaipur Literature Festival, 2017. He further added, "It is a biopic and it is more than a biopic too because we expect people to learn something from it.” Dia, has eaelier worked with Sanjay in films like 'Parineeta' and 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai'.

Rajkumar Hirani's Sanjay Dutt biopic is currently being filmed in Mumbai. Interestingly, actresses like Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor have also been roped in for the film. Anushka will be seen as a journalist in the biopic, while Sonam is likely to play a love interest from Dutt's younger days. Moreover, Paresh Rawal will be seen as Sunil Dutt. However, the hunt for Nargis is yet on.
