Be it playing the role of an obedient son in Hum Saath Saath Hain or a corrupt, yet fearless, police officer in Dabangg, superstar Salman Khan is a fit to all kind of roles. The most anticipated movie of the year, Sultan, will now mark Bollywood’s Bhaijaan’s first experience in the role of a wrestler. Recently in an interview to a daily, the director of the flick, Ali Abbas Zafar, stated that he feels that the Kick actor had been wishing to do a sports film because of his fondness for it.

“He also loves Sylvester Stallone, as we all know and he wanted to do that one film which was about sport and but yet was about more than sport. Sultan is about fighting out and fighting within”, stated the Mere Brother Ki Dulhan maker. Revealing about the flick, the director further added, “At heart, it is a very simple story about a man and a woman and what happens in their relationship. Wrestling is just the backdrop of the film. In wrestling, every time you lose you fall in the mud, you rise. It’s like life”.

The Gunday maker also confessed about a worry he has. “My worry is that I don’t let Salman (Khan) down. He should not feel that I wasted his time”, stated Ali. The movie is scheduled for release on July 6 this year.
