    Yay! ‘Dangal’ Declared TAX-FREE In Haryana

    Following the footsteps of Uttar Pradesh government, the Haryana government has also declared Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ tax-free. On Sunday, December 25, the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced that the film is tax-free in the state as it gives a boost to the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ mission. Khattar said, “Thus, the government took a decision to make it tax free.” In UP, the film was declared tax-free on December 15, prior to its release.

    The movie is winning hearts and has been receiving rave reviews. About the film, Haryana CM announced at a public meeting near Rohtak, “The exemption has been given keeping in view the promotion of 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao' programme and promotion of wrestling in the movie.”

    ‘Dangal’ released last Friday, December 23. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, it is biographical sports drama film based on Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari. Aamir Khan plays Mahavir Singh Phogat in the film whose music has been composed by Pritam.
