'Yeh paise kahan hai bhai'?: Salman Khan Quips On Being On The Forbes List

You may think that Salman Khan is under severe pressure for the unexpected under-performance of his latest release Tubelight, but the actor seems unfazed.

In a recent interview with Mid-Day, he talked about his market value and how he sees the changes in the functioning of Bollywood. He said, “From then until now, if you see, all of us boys (from the ‘90s) have just grown. We’re all in our 50s now, and we’re still jumping, and it hurts, like crazy. But we’re still working hard on ourselves because we know the value. We know a time when we wanted to work, and we didn’t have any.”

He also joked about the recently released Forbes’ list of highest paid celebrities in the world. As per this list, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are world’s 65th and 71st highest-earning celebrities with $38 million and $37 million earnings. Akshay Kumar is ranked 80th with a kitty of $35.5 million in this list.

Salman said, “I don’t have that money. I seriously don’t have that money. I was going through it and going, ‘Yeh paise kahan hai, bhai? Kidhar?’ When a film makes Rs 500 crore, only a very nominal amount from that comes to you. It’s just that your business is worth Rs 500 crore.”

After the marketing for Tubelight is over for Salman, he will start working on Tiger Zinda Hai’s next shooting schedule. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film will hit the screens on December 22, 2017.
