Yet another dry Friday @ Box Office as new releases open low

It is beginning to set into a trend that a big Friday on the ticket counters has repercussions furthering a long delay to earn moolah. Even after 15 days, the industry hasn’t been able to give a solid flare that could challenge Bang Bang and Haider’s box office run.

Today seems to have been no different. The two films that released today Super Nani and Sonali Cable have opened to an extremely poor response. The morning shows have gone completely vacant and there doesn’t seem chance to up the footfalls by later today. Ali Fazal and Rhea Chakraborty who star in the low budget Sonali Cable will have to face a cold box office response. On similar patterns, while Rekha and Sharman Joshi’s Super Nani may find some audiences, there isn’t a chance it will put up an impressive entirety.

This has also been seen in the past. Producers backing big projects do not prefer to release their films in between Dusshera and Diwali since the movie most likely falls flat and smothers between two festive releases. The drought will no longer sustain when the Diwali release Happy New Year will hit the screens next week. Until then, let’s just do with the cold counters!
