You Automatically Get A Bigger Card Than Us: Jim Sarbh To Harshvardhan Kapoor

At the recent Filmfare award night held last month, actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh walked away with the Best Debut Award Male for Udta Punjab. However, this didn’t go down well with Harshvardhan Kapoor who made his debut last year with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya alongside Saiyami Kher. As he lost the award, he took to twitter to vent out his anger on the Filmfare awards.

He said, “Although I picked up two debutant awards earlier, I was really looking forward to winning the black lady. But I guess every awards event has its own parameters. I’ll be honest, though. I think a debutant award is meant for someone working on his first film. It shouldn’t go to an actor who has worked in several films in another industry or language”.

Now on Rajeev Masand’s Roundtable With Newcomers, actor Jim Sarbh takes down Harshvardhan Kapoor for expressing his anger over losing Best Debutant award. He said, “You automatically get a bigger card than us. It’s like we’re in a different room trying to make our presence felt. It isn’t exactly an even playing-field”. He took a dig at other newcomers too.

Well, let’s wait to see if Harshvardhan’s father Anil Kapoor or sister Sonam Kapoor has to say something on this or not.
