    The famous Giffoni Film Festival held annually to honour the kid’s favourite stars and characters will this year have the veteran actor Alan Rickman being awarded the Francois Truffaut Award.

    Named after the iconic French New Wave filmmaker who won the Giffoni Film Festival, Francois Truffaut award has had several legendary recipients. Popularly known as Gala, the film festival is held in Giffoni Valle Piana since 1972. It honours and also highlights everything that appeal to children. With actor Rickman being such a vital part of the Harry Porter, his contribution could not have been avoided. He’s being awarded for his work as Severus Snape in the high profile series.

    The special ceremony which will honour Alan is scheduled to take place on 21st of July with more than a hundred thousand people expected to turn up for the festival stretching for a long period. The Giffoni Film Festival will take place from July 18th to 27th.
