Alexander Skarsgård As Tarzan In The Legend of Tarzan Trailer

The trailer for The Legend of Tarzan has been released and Alexander Skarsgård will be playing the role of the iconic jungle hero. The actor is known for his roles in movies like Battleship, the first Zoolander and the TV series True Blood. The Legend of Tarzan will be directed by David Yates.

The character was first introduced in the 1912 novel Tarzan of the Apes, written by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The trailer shows some action sequences and reveals a few plot details. The star studded cast includes Margot Robbie as Jane and Christoph Waltz as Captain Rom.

The Legend of Tarzan will hit theatres on July 1 next year in the U.S. The movie will be a different take on the jungle hero as it will bring him back to the jungle from his life in London as John Clayton III. Since the first appearance, Tarzan has been portrayed in several different versions.
